Giuseppe Sacco is Professor
of International
Relations and World Economic Systems at the
Free University of Rome since 1980. Previously (1970-1980) he has been
Professor at the
University of Florence. From 1989 to 2000, Professor Sacco taught in
the
Institut d'Etudes Politiques, Paris. He has been Visiting
Professor at
Oxford,
California-Los Angeles,
Princeton Universities, and at the
Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (Recife, Brasil)
and also he has been
Visiting Scientist at “Resources for the Future” of the
Brookings
Institution in Washington, DC, and at the
Massachussetts Institute of
Technology (MIT). For four years, (1976-80) he has been
Director of Division in the
Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris (OECD). He
has also served the
European Commission and
as well as he has been a consultant for international Institutions and MNCs in
over 40 countries.

Josef Janning is
Director of the
Bertelsmann Group for Policy Research,
Center for Applied
Policy Research (C·A·P), Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich. Since
2001, he is Head of the International Relations Program,
Bertelsmann Stiftung
and since 2000, Guest Professor at
Renmin University, Beijing, China.
During 1987-1994 he has been Deputy Director, Research Group
Europe and Lecturer in International Relations at
Johannes Gutenberg,
University of Mainz. Previously (1982-1985), he taught Political Science
in the
University of Bonn, the university’s Akademisches
Auslandsamt, Germany. Professor Janning is member and chairman of various
study groups on European affairs, East-West and Mediterranean issues, security
policies and transatlantic relations and advisor to the German government on
European Affairs. |

Alfonso Giordano is
Associated Scientist at the
Institut d'Etudes Européennes, Free University
of Brussels, in the Research group on "European Union, neo-regionalism,
globalisation and international order". He is also Adjunct Professor of Political and
Economic Geography at the
Free University of Rome. He worked as scientific expert in the Staff of the
Counsellor for External Relations of the Permanent
Representation of Italy to the European Union and served at the Council of
the European Union. He has been National expert of the Permanent Representation
of Italy to the European Union in the Research group on “Options for the Greater Middle East"
coordinated by the
Institute for Security Studies
of the European Union, Paris. |
